Fehr Graham, a leading Midwest engineering and environmental firm, announced the promotion of Naren Patel, PE, PMP, to Senior Project Manager.
Patel, who works in the firm's Champaign, Illinois, office, was promoted from Project Manager to Senior Project Manager. He will continue to serve Fehr Graham clients throughout central and northern Illinois while leading business development efforts, building and maintaining client relationships, and providing client and project leadership to increase opportunities.

Patel will continue to manage civil, environmental, water and wastewater engineering projects for the firm's municipal clients. He also specializes in sewer and water rate studies and agency grant and loan applications. Patel has a deep passion for helping clients solve their complex problems and finding grants, low-interest loans and other incentivized funding. He serves as a client liaison and attends municipal and public meetings to keep communities informed on infrastructure projects and funding solutions.

Patel, who joined the firm in 2001, holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation from the Project Management Institute. He earned his bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and a master's degree in Environmental Engineering from Maharaja Sayajirao University in Vadodara, India. He also earned a master's degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. He received a Special Achievement in Engineering Excellence Award from the Illinois Chapter of the American Council of Engineering Companies for his work on a wastewater treatment plant expansion project in Mahomet, Illinois.
Patel is an active member of the Project Management Institute, and Illinois Society of Professional Engineers, and Illinois Association of Wastewater Agencies. Patel is also an active member in an elite Fellow grade of the American Society of Civil Engineers (F. ASCE). He is also a delegate member affiliated with the Central Illinois Municipal Officials Association.
