Fehr Graham, a leading Midwest engineering and environmental firm, announced the promotion of Chris DeSilva to Branch Manager.
DeSilva was promoted from Project Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the firm's Aurora office. He will continue to serve Fehr Graham clients throughout Illinois while leading business development and marketing initiatives.
"We are proud to celebrate Chris stepping into this role," said Mick Gronewold, a Professional Engineer and one of the firm's owners. "Chris is passionate and driven to help our clients and he is an excellent motivator for our staff. His leadership skills, business acumen and technical abilities align perfectly with the firm's goals."
This announcement comes after Branch Manager John Frerich announced his retirement in October. This succession plan allows DeSilva to transition into the Branch Manager role.
"Chris is a natural leader. I am confident in his ability to guide our team in Aurora while continuing to benefit our clients and build momentum to accelerate the firm's growth," Frerich said. "He is well prepared for the position and his knowledge of our company, industry, culture and strategy make him a great choice for this expanded role."
DeSilva, who joined Fehr Graham in 2019, earned a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and a master's degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is a member of the Water Environment Federation and the Illinois Water Environment Association.
"It's a privilege for me to help the Aurora team continue to provide exceptional service to our clients with a solid foundation," DeSilva said. "I look forward to continuing to work with the talented and dedicated team as the firm continues to flourish."
DeSilva lives in Elburn with his wife, Elizabeth, and their three daughters.
