Johnson designs and drafts structural elements for buildings and bridges, ensuring they follow codes and compliance. He prepares cost estimates and quantity breakdowns for civil and structural projects. He also helps with bridge and building inspections and reviews shop drawings for plan compliance.
He earned a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural Emphasis from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
