Fehr Graham, a leading Midwest engineering and environmental firm, announced the promotion of Naren Patel, PE, PMP, to Project Manager.
Patel, who works in the firm's Champaign, Illinois, office, manages civil, environmental, water and wastewater engineering projects for municipal clients in central and northern Illinois. He also specializes in sewer and water rate studies and agency grant and loan applications. Patel is passionate about helping clients solve complex problems and finding grants, low-interest loans and other funding. He serves as a client liaison, maintaining relationships, and attends municipal meetings to keep communities informed. He also builds client relationships to develop business and projects to increase opportunities.
Patel, who joined the firm in 2001, holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation from the Project Management Institute. He earned his bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and a master's degree in Environmental Engineering from Maharaja Sayajirao University in Vadodara, India. He also earned a master's degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. He received a Special Achievement in Engineering Excellence Award from the Illinois Chapter of the American Council of Engineering Companies for his work on a Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion project in Mahomet, Illinois.
Patel is an active member of the Project Management Institute, Illinois Society of Professional Engineers, American Society of Civil Engineers and Illinois Association of Wastewater Agencies. He is affiliated with the Central Illinois Municipal Officials Association.
