Phil Simonton promoted to Staff Hydrogeologist

Fehr Graham, a leading Midwest engineering and environmental firm, is proud to announce the promotion of Phil Simonton to Staff Hydrogeologist.

Simonton completes Phase I and II Environmental Assessments. He helps write brownfield grants by drafting Alternative Brownfield Cleanup Action documents and contributing to Community Relations Plans and threshold criteria. He also performs landfill sampling and environmental sampling. In his new role, Simonton leads brownfield grant community meetings, coordinates Phase II field and lab work, serves as a point of contact for clients and manages two vehicle fleets for the firm.

Simonton joined Fehr Graham in 2023. He earned a bachelor's degree in Environmental Geology from Calvin University and holds certifications in Occupational Safety and Health Administration Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response. He works in the firm's Rockford, Illinois, office.
