Fehr Graham, a leading Midwest engineering and environmental firm, is proud to announce the promotion of Sam Ertl to Project Engineer after earning his Professional Engineer license in Iowa.
Ertl, who works in Fehr Graham's Manchester, Iowa, office, recently passed the Principles and Practice of Engineering (PE) exam. Ertl joined Fehr Graham full-time in 2020 after interning with the firm in 2018. His promotion marks a new chapter in his career, expanding his role to business development, client relations and project management. He also mentors junior engineers, helping them develop skills and industry knowledge.
Ertl earned a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Transportation and Geotechnical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. He holds certifications as an Aggregate Technician, Portland Cement Concrete Testing Technician and Erosion Control Technician. He is also a graduate of the Buchanan County Leadership Development Program.
