Well 45 improvements underway in Rockford, Illinois

Well 45, at the intersection of Stanley and Cedar streets, is getting an addition that will house a new radium filtration system. This will help the City of Rockford maintain the highest quality water standards in compliance with Environmental Protection Agency standards. 

The well pumps and treats water that is distributed throughout Rockford. The City’s Water Division hired Fehr Graham to oversee construction. The concrete foundation was completed mid-March, and the radium filtration tank was added last week.
